Psychological Counselling

Psychological Counselling (with a Psychologischer Berater in Germany or Registered Counsellor in South Africa) is a service designed to support individuals in managing everyday challenges, stressful situations, or life adjustments. Its focus is on helping clients strengthen their emotional resilience, and develop practical strategies for coping with life’s demands.

Counselling is different to Psychotherapy (with a Psychotherapist in Germany or Clinical Psychologist in South Africa), in that it is intended for individuals without a diagnosed mental health disorder or symptoms of a mental health disorder, and don’t need clinical support. Counselling does not involve assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of mental illnesses and does not replace medical or psychotherapeutic intervention. Psychotherapy offers structured treatment plans for mental health disorders provided by licensed Psychotherapists or Clinical Psychologists.

If you are struggling with serious mental health symptoms or a mental health diagnosis, please seek treatment and support from a clinical mental health practitioner.
