I'm Tami, an HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) licensed counsellor with four years experience in private practice. I specialise in guiding and supporting adults (ages 25-45) through life’s challenges in a warm, calm, and holistic space. Whether you’re struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, complicated family relationships, marital difficulties, trauma, life transitions, expat adjustment, or simply seeking deeper emotional and self-awareness, I offer a supportive and judgment-free space for healing. I also proudly provide a safe and affirming space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

In our sessions, my therapeutic approach shifts, depending on my client. At the core of my work is Positive Psychology, where I focus on building and strengthening the self, fostering resilience, and encouraging personal growth. I integrate Person-Centered Psychology, allowing clients to lead sessions so that they can feel in control of their story. I also incorporate Psychodynamic Psychology to help clients identify patterns and behaviours rooted in past experiences, supporting deep emotional healing. And finally, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower each client to navigate life with perspective and self-understanding.

Lastly, I pride myself on bringing light and humour into sessions as well, because this is by far the most important part to me; my clients ability to feel lighter, less burdened and returning to their authentic selves. My goal as your therapist is to provide you with a space where you can work on your healing and spend time growing at your own pace.
